ARCHITECTURE

This is a project in Murudeshwara, Karnataka situated in west coast with heavy rainfall and high humidity. Our approach was critical to use local material laterite stone and climate responsive design form. Influence was from the local traditional form with steep pitched roof form with mangalore tile roof. Planning was linear to enable cross ventilation effectively through living space.

Design approach was of contemporary style architecture approach with double height spaces in living spaces with courtyard situation. Planning and zoning approach was different from conventional approach where client wanted to separate private living space was from second floor onwards and guest bedroom was in first floor.
